Things may feel quite unsettled at this time. Perhaps you feel the ground beneath you is moving. It’s normal to resist change and to want to feel certain about where you are headed. At times like these, it’s hard to make plans and feel prepared for the next phase of life. This card indicates that change is here, and it’s time to settle into to the unknown. Allow yourself to let go of control and trust that things are moving toward the best possible outcome.

The Nine (endings) of Spades (physical realm) is the card of death. We go through many mini deaths in our lives. No matter what, you’ll come out the other side completely changed. Plus, you’ll have a larger context to understand your life and your experiences up to this point. This is an important graduation. You may not know what is next, but you will not be the same once you are through this death and rebirth.

2. What is your relationship with trust? Do you trust others? Yourself? The universe? Why not?
3. Are you a control freak? About what? If you let go of some of the balls you are juggling, what would happen? Take time with this exercise. Really imagine yourself dropping a ball or two.
4. What freaks you out about the idea of something in your life dying off?
5. Have you had a mini death in the past? Consider how you got through it and how your life changed because of it. Apply that wisdom to what’s happening now.
