Cardology (or the Cards of Destiny) is the mystical science of the playing cards. Tarot is a different deck entirely with its own symbolism, design and meaning. Let's dive into the difference between tarot and cardology. The tarot deck has 78 cards, while the playing cards have 52. Each deck has four suits, which can be compared to one another:
hearts = cups
clubs = wands
diamonds = pentacles
spades = swords
Similar to tarot, the playing cards can be used for divination, but this is called cartomancy.
Cardology is similar to astrology and numerology in that it relates to your birthday. You have a specific card based on the day you were born. This card has an entire hand and can tell you about your personality, relationships and more.
